SANTA BARBARA, Calif./EWORLDWIRE/Oct. 10, 2005 --- Hispanic Business(R) magazine, a leading publication for and about Hispanic professionals and entrepreneurs, will hold its 15th annual EOY(R) awards gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Nov. 10, 2005. This annual event recognizes the nation's most successful Hispanic entrepreneurs for their perseverance, courage and vision. The premiere sponsor for this year's event is Cadillac, along with other sponsors AXA Financial, Choice Hotels, FedEx, IBM, LaSalle and Microsoft. This year, in addition to the evening gala and awards presentation, the EOY has expanded its daytime agenda, focusing on developing capital sources for U.S. Hispanic-owned enterprise. The morning session will feature corporate value propositions by select CEOs from the Hispanic Business 500(R) top companies list. The growing demand in the U.S. Hispanic enterprise markets for investment capital will be addressed as CEOs profile their corporate market position to an audience of investors, lenders, and Hispanic business leaders.
On the other side of the equation, the respective roles of the public and private sectors in developing and targeting much needed investment capital flows to the U.S. Hispanic entrepreneur markets is a topic that will be examined during the afternoon Capital Markets Roundtable Discussion. This afternoon session will include a panel of financial market specialists who will discuss access to capital trends and assess the pros and cons of attracting investment and lending flows to these markets.
While the daytime activities will provide a comprehensive view of growth in the U.S. Hispanic enterprise market, the evening gala will pay tribute to Hispanic entrepreneurs that have successfully achieved this high level of growth and development for their companies.
Mistress of Ceremonies, Melinda Guzman, chairwoman of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, will commence the evening's festivities. The gala's keynote address will be delivered by The Honorable Fabian Núñez, Speaker of the California Assembly. Video presentation will commemorate the EOY event's 15-year milestone with a chronicle of its history and evolution, while portraying the progress and strides of U.S. Hispanics in the last decade and a half.
Awards will be presented in five categories: InfoBusiness, Heavy Industry, Trade Industry, Latina Entrepreneur and Rising Star. From these five categories one overall winner will receive the Entrepreneur of the Year award. In addition, a Lifetime Achievement award will also be presented to a select individual, chosen by Hispanic Business magazine, honoring this person for a distinguished career high in accomplishment, leadership, innovation, vision, and civic service. Judging for this year's awards have been done by the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business Greif Center for Entrepreneurship.
