TULSA, Okla./EWORLDWIRE/Sep. 11, 2003 --- On the anniversary day of the 2003 attack on Americans at home, the Freedom Girls have issued a challenge to last until September 22 - the next 11 days.Featured on Monday's USA Today's Money section, the Freedom Girls have been a direct cause of increasing awareness of the U.S. Patriot Bond.
"Our challenge is significant because it can, in a very real way, permit Americans to directly demonstrate that they support action to prevent future attacks on our country and countrymen," stated Susan Dale. "The events and the people who were lost should be remembered."
"Every purchase of a U.S. Savings bond during the next 11 days provides notice to our government of our commitment to our country taking a proactive approach in preventing future attacks, while honoring the victims and families hurt in the tragedy."
The Freedom Girls have challenged each American to go out in the next 11 days and purchase a U.S. Savings bond in the memory of the 9/11 victims and soldiers fighting the War Against Terror.
"Buying bonds show supports for our country's economy and our military around the world," said Dale.
The Freedom Girls have worked diligently over the past two years to increase awareness of bonds and the need to continue traditional marketing efforts. A moratorium on October 1 will mark the beginning of marketing strictly online of bonds.
"With all the unrest, turmoil and bad publicity the United States has been subjected to, America is in a position to refute those actions and opinions by taking a strong stance and recognizing the strength of our country both militarily and financially," concluded Dale.
