State Representatives Bill Adolph And Thomas Killion Endorse Lisa Paolino For State Senate

For Immediate Release

RADNOR, Pa./EWORLDWIRE/April 1, 2008 --- Citing her hard work, maturity and reputation as a Republican leader, GOP State Representatives Bill Adolph (R-165) and Thomas Killion (R-168) today announced their endorsement of Republican Lisa Paolino for State Senate in the 17th District.

Paolino, vice president of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners and life-long Republican, has been steadily garnering endorsements from both elected officials and organizations. Her fundraising and volunteer support is mounting since the announcement of her candidacy in late January.

"I have been fortunate enough to have worked with Lisa as a Township Commissioner, and she is a dynamo," said Rep. Adolph. "She is intelligent and hard-working and knows how to take care of her constituents. I am very pleased to endorse her campaign, and I look forward to working with her when she becomes State Senator."

Paolino and Adolph worked closely together to begin the sound-barrier retrofit along Rte. 476, significantly reducing noise and pollution for Radnor Township residents.

State Representative Thomas Killion has worked with Lisa for many years as past Delaware County Council President and as a legislator. "Delaware County was elated when she became the first woman ever elected to serve on the Radnor Board of Commissioners in 1999," said Rep. Killion. "It was a significant win for the Republican Party since her Ward was considered to be a Democratic stronghold."

Paolino noted these endorsements are yet another sign that her campaign is gaining momentum. "I appreciate the support from Bill Adolph and Tom Killion as I have an enormous amount of respect for these remarkable leaders," said Paolino.

These endorsements come after the Radnor Republican Committee unanimously endorsed Paolino last month. Within the past week, Paolino received endorsements from the Pennsylvania Women's Campaign Fund and the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local Union #1of Pennsylvania and Delaware.

In 1999, Paolino was the first woman in Radnor history elected to a full four-year term as Commissioner; she has served as Vice-President of the Board since 2003.

She is a graduate of Villanova University with more than 20 years of professional business experience, most recently as Vice President of Operations and Marketing for Mace Securities. She also serves as Vice-Chair of the American Red Cross Board of Directors SEPA Chapter and the Board of Directors of the Wayne Art Center.

As a Commissioner, Paolino has worked to hold the line on taxes. She has worked to acquire more than 50 acres of open space and is a liaison with the Radnor Conservancy, working to secure open space on one of the largest remaining parcels of farmland in the area.

Paolino completed two notable projects with Penn DOT, including the sound barrier retrofit along Rte. 476 and the award-winning Radnor Rails to Trails Project.
